- Named Ensign of the Royal Hellenic Navy in
1910
- Participated in the naval battles of the First
Balkan War (1912-1913)
- Commanding Officer of the first Greek
submarine "DOLPHIN"
- Participated in World War I as executive
officer of the destroyers "LONGHI" and "KERAVNOS".
- Refused to participate in any of the coups
d'état that took place in Greece between the two World Wars .
- Served as Superior Commander of the
destroyers fleet in 1939, on board of the destroyer "KING GEORGE".
- Following the sinking of the "KING
GEORGE" in 1941, he raised his banner on the destroyer "HYDRA".
- Wounded at the sinking of "HYDRA" by the
German Luftwaffe.
- Escaped from German occupation and
joined the Hellenic Navy based in Alexandria Egypt.
- Named Admiral Chief of the Navy and Chief
of the Hellenic Navy General Staff in 1945 and Inspector General of the Royal Navy in 1947.
- After his retirement in 1949, he consulted on
technical issues the National Radio Foundation and he wrote books on naval strategy and military operations of World War II.
